Aromatase is the enzyme that enables the conversion of male hormones into female hormones, specifically that of androgens (testosterone and androstenedione) into oestrogens (oestradiol and oestrone). Both male and female sex hormones and the enzymes enabling their synthesis are necessary in proper amounts for many processes and functions both in men and women. Their excess or deficiencies can lead to many health problems.

One of the problems, particularly visible in men who care about a muscular body, are excessive oestrogen levels, which are caused by the use of substances that help to increase testosterone levels, that is anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS). The excess of the hormone is converted into oestrogens with the help of aromatase, resulting in the condition called hyperestrogenism. The phenomenon is accompanied by such symptoms as gyneco- and lipomastia, fat deposition in the area of thighs, buttocks and breasts, as well as water retention, which is a very negative result causing a great deal of discomfort.

In that case, a group of agents that block the activity of aromatase prove useful, the so-called aromatase inhibitors. The substances help to restore male hormonal balance and eliminate the negative side effects of “steroid treatment”. Our products contain the following substances: stinging nettle, armistane (besides the main activity it also increases the release of luteinising hormone, LH), E. cottonii extract (contains active components that block the oestrogen receptor), as well as chrysin and cyclodextrin.
